Footwear technology is becoming one of the top most career option for the youth of India. There are a variety of reasons for that. Firstly there has been a sudden increase in demand for the footwear and leather goods as there has been a demand for footwear both in India as well as internationally. Since there is an increasing demand therefore more and more professionals are needed to full fill the 
demand, Secondly the FDDI bill has already been passed in the Lok Sabha and is due to be passed in the Rajya Sabha therefore the Ministry of Commerce is providing for support to enhance the footwear and leather goods industry. Lastly it offers a lucrative career option as it opens many doors, such as starting a fashion house of your own or getting absorbed by a manufacturing industry, therefore there is no looking back once you are in the footwear and leather good industry.

However it’s not that easy said as done, as the competition is very tough as more and more students are expressing an interest to purse both undergraduate as well as post graduate courses in the field of design and development of footwear and leather goods. The best institute to pursue courses in design and development of footwear is the Footwear design and development institute which holds a joint entrance exam known as the AIST.

Based on this entrance exam candidates are offered various courses. The institute offers both graduate as well as post graduate courses, undergraduate course is for 3 year duration and post graduate course is for 3 year duration. AIST exam for FDDI

Footwear design and development institute will be holding a joint entrance exam AIST  on 7 th June-9 th June 2017.The exam will be held for various undergraduate courses as well as post graduate courses. Students who are interested in pursuing any of these courses will have to sit for the entrance exam which is a multiple type questions and will be done on the computer.
